An award-winning  artist Born in 1989, whose multidisciplinary practice spans painting, sculpture, screenwriting, film, and interior architecture. While he is primarily recognized as painter, his artistic journey has led him beyond the boundaries of the canvas, pushing him into the world of cinema—following in the footsteps of David Lynch and Julian Schnabel, who successfully transitioned from painting to filmmaking.

Arteen’s paintings are defined by unconventional color choices and varied brushstrokes, creating a dynamic visual language that challenges traditional art-making techniques. His fascination with texture, composition, and movement naturally extended into storytelling through film, where he applies his painterly sensibilities to storyboarding and visual storytelling. His background in fine art allows him to craft cinematic images with the same depth, emotion, and complexity found in his paintings.

Beyond his visual artistry, Arteen studied acting for two years at the Montreal School of Performing Arts (MSOPA), deepening his understanding of performance and character. This training further informs his approach to filmmaking, allowing him to work seamlessly with actors and translate emotion through both movement and framing.

His ability to bridge the gap between static and moving images has made him a sought-after creative force in the industry.

Working as both a storyboard artist and assistant director on multiple projects, like (Portrait d'entreprise: Les fermes générationnelles) with company Arki Quebec. he translates abstract ideas into tangible cinematic moments. In recognition of his innovative approach.

Arteen was selected for the prestigious Artch Artist Residency Competition in NYC, where he will participate in a residency and group exhibition throughout 2025.

Whether through paint or film, Arteen’s work remains a study in atmosphere, mood, and the power of visual storytelling—constantly redefining the relationship between art and cinema.
